We have an issue around here that the geese seem to like to congregate along the bike paths (plus leaving a lot of goose droppings on the paths).

I've never been attacked by one, but I try not to get between the adults and the goslings.

I have seen people feeding ducks in the ponds. I haven't seen it along the bike paths, but I have a feeling that there are people who walk out on the bike paths and feed the geese right on the paths.

Thus, many of the geese aren't particularly scared of people or bikes.
