while fixed riders certainly aren't out there getting cheap thrills dodging cars, fixed riders are easily more adept at moving through traffic without having to stop and/or be scared of the traffic and are probably safer riders because they/we learn to become a part of and make their way through it
also...I'd go as far as to say that in general, peronalities inclined toward fixed gear, and especially breakless, are prob more street smart, and street-aware than normal roadies...period
