I started out riding a crankset that is longer than my ideal size, and I suspect most people do as well. So I tried this ideal size length for a while and I canīt tell the difference on performance. In fact, it throws off the fit so it requires more $$$$ to buy new parts like stem and seatpost.
Consider pedal clearance around corners. I like the hard turns. Pedals reaching the ground is kind of awkward.
