That squeak is my main motivation for looking at other options. It is the shoe/pedal interface; at least if I wax/lube/Squirt that, it goes away for a few hours. I get it on two sets of XTR trail pedals, XT pedals, A600 pedals, ... and with three sets of shoes.

I'm wondering about Time pedals, but the brass cleats put me off a bit. I have a pair of Ritchie pedals with about 1 mile on them. I can't remember which one, but they are red and blingy. I'll try to dig them out and post a photo. If you want them, I can send them to you.

I've heard the Issi pedals might not be terribly robust.

I've also wondered about steel-spindled Xpedo (I'm too fat for titanium).
