Do a search on Columbus Brain tubing; De Rosa Brain tubing, and that will help you date the bike. Brain is from the early to mid 90’s I believe. In my mind I recall Genius was the higher end Columbus from that time and Brain a notch below. That’s a good looking bike and I bet it will make for a nice rider. I’d replace the ugly stem and hang some nicer parts and wheels on it.
Agree. The stem is hurting my eyes to. Also the groups is bummer but I was surpriced how well it works (then..I wasn't expecting much)

De Rosa's Columbus Brain model, at least in the North American market, circa 1996-1997 was the San Remo. I'm not sure if the Cassanova model name indicates a different vintage or a different market.

As written, I was looking for a different kind of bike since every shiny little bicycle (Pinarello, de rosa,cinelli, olmo, colnago ect.) gets stolen from underneath you if you sneeze, here in Copenhagen.
But fell in love with it and maybe paid a bit more than I would have liked
