The Devil Mountain did not reward me with a ton of wildflowers this past Sunday (the 28th), but I did see a nice patch of lupine near Rock City and a wonderful hillside of poppies a little bit above Juniper - bad photo evidenceattached.

As usual, I went up the Mountain veeeeeerrrrry slowly. My mantra was operating at full force - I go slow, but I make up for it by stopping a lot. I won't embarrass my self by telling you how long it took me to reach the top, but rest assured that it takes me more minutes than it takes you. Probably by quite a bit. And I walked up The Wall -again, veeerrry slowly. But I got there, and it was a great day to be on Diablo.

April 28 on the Devil Mountain.

Last week (April 21) in Berkeley, a few doors down from my house.
