you wouldn't go play football in basketball shorts, why cycle in basketball shorts?

in the scheme of things, cycling shorts are not expensive, you get what you pay for. i have a pair i have been wearing for about 3 years, i gently hand wash my cycling cloths after every ride, a drip of detergent and in a pail of warm water, gently hand wash your gear, then on the cloths line pad out to dry in the sun is the best.

i use unscented non allergy detergent.

i have had good luck caring for my gear this way for way more years than i care to say.

it is hard to go wrong over the long haul by buying good gear and caring for it well.
