Took it for a good long ride yesterday. The bike feels so much better with it. The dampening just gives a nice and solid feel without any noticable resistance when riding.

What did improve though is the shimmy and no-hands riding. Shimmy is virtually gone and I can comfortably ride no-hands for longer periods of time while leaning backwards to grab snacks from the Carradice saddle bag.
I'm convinced.
