Does that really mean that the frame is authentic? Or perhaps the serial number sticker was duplicated from a valid one?
That's what I wondering. Assuming this is a fake frame, and every one has the same faked serial number (probably taken from one real frame) would Pinarello even catch that? If this guy sends in this serial number, then next week, another guy who bought one of these with the same faked serial number sends it in, would Pinarello simply say "yup, that's our number"? Or once that serial number is registered, does that trigger them to say "ah hah, that must be fake, because we've already had this number registered!" Not sure how it works with them.

If it's just some rando in customer service answering a ton of emails, they may just simply look it up as one of their serial numbers. Or maybe they know just by looking at it that it's a Pinarello number, and sent a reply without actually researching if the number has been registered, or where it was sold, etc.
