Ok I had a Deore LX 7 / 8 speed front derailleur in my bin and installed it. The cage is too wide , but after squeezing it a little I was able to get good shifting , so I am thinking I will try to do one of two things . Find a 10 speed triple front derailleur or go forth with the Shimano Ultegra FD-6700 idea. Another problem I have identified is that SunXCD says this crankset is fine with a 113 to 118 mm bottom bracket but what I am seeing is that there is a slight amount misalignment in the chain line so I am considering a slightly longer bottom bracket or a spacer to shift the chain line slightly.
