Agreed, black and grey rims look great on a wall hanger, but wear poorly. A little grit on your pads, funny looking sidewalls. I was debating between tb-14s, and velocity A23s on my Supercourse, bought both to compare. After visual inspection, and weigh in, sold the h + sons, and went with Velocity. The A23s with the asymmetrical rear wheel ride awful nice. And if it matters, the sticker on my tb-14s said, made in China, A23s made in USA. All my other CV bikes have rims made in, Japan, France, Italy, and the US. I know it’s improved, but still not a fan of Chinese metallurgy, but to each there own. I’d go with silver, very nice bike by the way, love the Magenta/White color scheme.
