Bikes: Kuota Kredo/Chorus, Trek 7000 commuter, Trek 8000 MTB and a few others

Another thing to check is the derailleur hanger alignment. If it is bent the derailleur won't shift properly.

Assuming the cables are ok and the hanger is OK, then watch this:
