I got in 35 miles this morning on my recently rebuilt early 90s steel. I have owned the bike since it was new, bought in 1992. I had the bike equipped as a flat bar the last 4 or 5 years but spending time on BikeForums convinced me to rebuild the bike from the raw frame. Riding that bike this morning was a terrific experience! It all came back to me just how much I loved riding this bike. It is comfortable, quick and nimble. It rides really good into the wind. My new, old bike just became my favorite ride again, 2 hour ride and no tingling, numb hands. It is my first rebuild and I spent more dollars than I was planning on, but the end product is worth every bit of it. It was also my first experience doing a rebuild.
I like!
