One of my college dorm-mates back in '76-77 had several Paramounts - one race, one touring, and one tandem (for he and his fiancee) All of his wore tubulars. Then again, he was also a 'crit' rider, and would do double-Centuries just about every weekend for fun... Glue-on 'Tubies' seemed more trouble than they were worth, so my roomies and I rode on 27x1-1/8 Schwinn Super Record clinchers.
