I was thinking of buying it but it seems like you need it more.

Second, I have repaired one by drilling and tapping. I used an auto shop so it uses an imperial bolt.

I was JRA when it broke, right in front of an auto machine shop so I walked in and inquired about a repair. At first they didn't want to work on a bike, but when I told them it was discontinued and vintage, it got their interest. One of them commented that he went to school with a girl named "Breezer."

They didn't have a bottoming tap so I asked if a broken tap will work. I dont remember how they did it but they did not bore through.

Twenty minutes later I was riding again.
auction is over...lol! someone grabbed'em quick like. i'd have done that in a heartbeat, though!! so, thanks

what part of the clamp did you tap, anyway? the base part that shifter actually fastens to? or where the band tightens. i can see either scenario with a tap repair. that'd be a simple fix. but, it's clamp band that broke on mine. not nearly enough material there to do something like that that i can see.

what's "JRA" mean?
