John, thanks so much for posting the link to this PDF. After reading it I'll tell any potential clients with a Campy freewheel that I can't service one (unless I somehow stumble across the elusive special tool set--- for cheap)!
Actually, there are just two pawls which is standard for most freewheels. See page 7 which tells about the use of "Spring
#7 " which compresses the pawls for reassembly.
After reading the manual I believe the three holes in the underside are to engage the special tool which prevents the body from freewheeling when removing the sprockets and servicing the internal parts.
