Bikes: 83 Trek 500, 2x 90s Novara Randonee, Zion 737, Specialized Rockhopper, Nishiki Colorado, Univega Specialissima

If you find friction 10-speed is too difficult, Shimano does make 10-speed indexed down-tube and bar-end shifters. Quite a bit cheaper than going STI.
