Looked at a lot of pictures online from the period when the bikes were actually being used and found that saddles, posts, bar tap, stem length, etc. all seemed to vary quite a bit from pic to pic. The Rolls saddle is period correct but probably not the Due model. Bar tape on this one is leather but they likely used fabric or synthetic wrap. This one uses Mavic clinchers from the late 80's but safe to assume that tubulars were used for actual racing. Decided to just build one that was as close to the real thing as reasonably possible but that could still be ridden without concern...

Nice bike! Thanks for the info. I want to ride this without much concern as well. Clincher wheels for me sound good.
