I would spot treat the rust with either naval jelly or oxalic acid -being careful with both and then use rubbing compound and wax and Bob's your uncle. I had a string of 70s pugs go through my hands and the only Yellow one was actually an AO-8, a rung
below the UO-8 if you can believe that, had the nicest paint, decals and saddle of any old Pug I ever refurbed. Have fun OP
