Yes there are adapters. a 1.5" crown race with a 1 1/8" ID. That fits properly on the steerer and is big enough for the larger lower cup.
I assume this is an external headset- thats what I have experience with. If its internal, then I have no idea if that can be adapted with a fork that isnt tapered. I would assume there is an adapter for that too since there seems to be one for everything, I just dont know.
