I think this is the absolute least important issue facing cyclists today. I have more trouble with fallen branches in the road and avoiding running over turtles.
i don’t think the op is wrong to complain. It is a pain in the arse.
Un related to mr lion’s comment I don’t think pedestrians have the right to the road when a side walk is present. Could be wrong though on that.
