That was the case, but I am now in the hills of Kentucky. Still works , but I am running lower gears. Will prob drop the big ring from 52 to 48.
Hills here have caused me to stop riding fixed. It was just too tough for me. So my one time fixed gear is now a Sturmey 3 speed
