One of the issues [MENTION=454862]samkl[/MENTION] had was an urgent firmware update right before the ride, so he had to connect the GPS to his computer to make the update, which seemed like a bit of a hassle at a pretty inopportune time. Other than that I'm not to sure what the problems were, but I've been thinking about upgrading my ancient etrex20 so I always ask people if they recommend whatever GPS they are using. I was interested in the Mega XL because it's the only GPS I've seen that will last a whole 600k.
