Is your pedaling technique changing as you get a little more worn out from the ride? I've noticed the same thing with soreness in my hands, knee pain and lower back pain in that 50 mile rides are no sweat, but 60-75 miles changes things. My stamina is developing and I've been taking more rides over 50 miles this summer and my body is definitely communicating with me!
Just a thought.
