A bar tape thread in the 41 reminds me of the original tape on my Propel, not the tape, but the taping job. When it was worn and I was replacing it, I marveled at the finishing job. It was obviously done by hand and perfect which I found amazing considering it’s a Giant, albeit a higher end one. The tape had been trimmed and shivved thin at the finishing end.

I could imagine some little old lady at Giant whose only job was taping carbon bars.
