T-Mar. It wasn't clear from previous tri-lite threads about the lineup, but I suspected that the frame is second from the top model since it's not using the Suntour Alpha 5000 derailleur. Again, being a light bike with admittedly short horizontal dropouts makes me dream of a SS/fixed conversion that's lighter than a cheap new one, but I'm still working on a project and looking to save more. If I did it, I'm afraid I wouldn't ride it enough.
Be aware that it is only 2nd from the top of the Technium Tri-Lite series. There were other Raliegh models above the Tri-Lites. Being marketed to triathletes, the Tri-Lite series models were all mid-range, performance oriented models. There were no high end Tri-lite models in 1988.
