I use a mirroless Olympus and it is reasonably compact with the kit lens.
Thanks. I will check it out. Need something that can fit easily in a jersey pocket. Currently have a Sony RX 100 II, which I am not happy after the warranty repair it underwent shortly after I bought it.
I miss my original Cannon, which I got as a gift in '09. Nice images and good zoom. I liked it so much I decided to let it slip from my hand and fall into a river after taking a photo on a bridge.
