Handwringing shouldn't involve fretting. Handwringing should be a joyful exercise of option exploration.
Handwringing can later develop into fretting if your handwringing results in a frameset purchase that you wait to build up for six months as you accumulate the right parts only to discover it is a 54 and not a 56.
