Try and save me or was it scared? Okay here is the setup. The road I am on is a 4 lane road with a median in it. As you get to the intersection the road developes a right and left turn lane. So the traffic light turns red and like any law abiding citizen I stop for it. As I am sitting there the left turn signal turns green and I am looking at this big seafood truck in the opposite lanes. He is making a left hand turn toward my direction and I am thinking " boy he is making that turn awfully wide "

It kinda looked like he was coming towards me. Well the driver realizes his mistake and stops in the middle of the intersection, figures he can't do anything so he drives over the little piece of median that seperates me and the right turn lane. Anyway back to my bike. So my light turns green and I get about half a stroke and my wheel locks up.

Front spins fine so I look at the back. Nothing in the spokes, the brake is fine. AH HA!! The axle nuts were not as tight as I thought they were and the wheel slid forward enough to stop me in my tracks. Tightened them back up and it rode like a dream. So did it save me or was it scared?
