I’m imperfect. Once bought a new car and thought the headlights turned on automatically each time I started the ignition… Turns out they were just “daytime running lights“ that provide very low illumination - just enough to make it more visible in daylight. A few days after buying the car I took a 400 mile road trip at night and didn’t notice anything wrong.

However, I do have the headlight on my handlebar and the tail light on the back of my bike.
