I know of someone second hand that got jail time for riding drunk in Pennsylvania. Previously had gotten a dui in a car, so it was serious. We are also famous for drunks being arrested for riding a horse drunk and driving to the bar on a riding lawnmower.

When I was riding on the trails near DC during morning commute hours, I felt sorry for the walkers, and also questioned their sanity. Similarly, I questioned my sanity as well, there were lots of close calls. There are some serious pathletes there that don't slow down for anything or anybody and will pass even if there are oncoming bikes. Including one guy wearing a suit on an upright bike with a nice leather briefcase in a basket on the back who was really fast. And once he got past our group, he ran a couple of red lights just for style points.
