Each year the specs for any one bike can and do change. Of course the parts that have had a serious marketing program (think Shimano, FSA, SRAM, Campy and more that you see advertised with company money) behind them tend to last over more production batches then those that the consumer is less aware of. So an entry level model might have had various sources for any one "no name" component over any year or three.

Remember that there's that clause at the bottom of the spec list "subject to change dur to..." and the reason is often cost VS performance VS sellability. Andy
