I'm a big guy (260 lbs) and sweat a lot.

I been using a Gore Active shell for the last few years, and it is really great for all weather temps below 55F (too warm above that).

I purchased a Gore Shakedry jacket last year and the sizing was ridiculously small for an XXL, I couldn't even zip it closed. I quickly replaced it with a Northface Shakedry hiking shell with hood; the NF is spacious and comfortable for layering, packs into a tiny space in my pannier, and quite a bit less $$ that the Gore versions.

I really like the Shakedry fabric, it is more breathable than any other that I've encountered by far, with excellent water resistance, and no outside fabric to soak up moisture and require drying. The downside is the absolute lack of abrasion-resistance, and the high price.
