The Velocity A23 rims arrived today, 24 hole front and 28 hole rear to be matched up with the Hope RS4 hubs. I have an appointment for Tuesday to set down with Charles at Jet Bicycle Wheels in San Diego (https://www.jetbicyclewheels.com/custom-wheels) to go over the details and start the build, my current thoughts are black Sapim CX-Ray aero spokes with their black alloy nipples for a all black wheelset. But as always I will go with Charles recommendations.

The rims, 642 grams for the pair, not bad.



The bike is getting fresh Dura Ace kit and is going 10 speed to get the gearing range I want. I got lucky and scored a NOS Dura Ace CS 7900 11 - 27 titanium cassette for a great price. Total weight 186 grams. The reason for going 10 speed is the 11 tooth sprocket on the cassette, I need that gear to make the 95.9 gear inches for the top of the range.
