Absolutely minimalist gloves for me, no padding, no reinforcements, so long as they are full fingered. I once crashed on the road wearing 661 Raji gloves, very minimal. The gloves were absolutely shredded, being held on only by the elastic wrist strap, BUT....my palms and fingers were totally unscathed. Just my opinion; sore hands are more apt to be caused by bad positioning and fit, rather than lack of glove padding.
