Interesting observation on time/memory/recall. In the past, moved every few years. It was VERY easy to tie memories/events to where we lived at the time, so it was easy to know how long ago that happened.
We have now lived in our current house for 18 years so it's harder to "place" an event from say 3/5/8/10/12/15 years ago precisely.

Yeah, I've noticed the same thing. My kids help a bit in this regard, though. Well, they don't help, but their aging does - a 2-yo is very different from a 4-yo, so that anchors things a bit. But stuff from, oh, the 6 years in the condo in Brooklyn before Colin came along? Pffft - it's all one mental lump. I would suppose that something like changing jobs/careers would be strong demarcations, too.
