I have been taking a glacial approach to a couch-to-20 miler regimen, today was my 9th consecutive day of riding and I am up to a 12 mile ride. I could have probably gutted out a flat 20 miler on day 1 but I would have been wrecked based on my current fitness, or lack thereof, and I like my riding to be fun! As it is I am only a few rides away from doing a 20 miler and I have had enjoyable scenic rides to this point, I have been fortunate in that we A) have had mild weather into October and B) I have a flexible schedule currently so I can ride when its not raining. Today I went back to my roots, the Burke-Gilman trail which is where I rode when I started riding again as an adult back in 1999. 20 years sure does fly by.

Looking towards UW campus, in the other direction is a great view of Mt. Rainier but it was hiding today

pleasant day for a ride, 3rd day in a row in the 60s, not bad for October

My turn around near Sandpoint with views down to Lake Washington
