In praise of great weather and cargo capacity.

So, my wife's birthday was last week. For some reason she felt the pull of the sea and wanted to celebrate with a dinner with a salt water sunset. Clouds rolled in when we were having an appetizer so that was that. Yesterday, our anniversary and I was damn well going to provide that sunset. She's lucky to make home by 6pm. How to do with our wonderful LI traffic? (Plus I wanted to get a ride in).

So, do one of my usual loops, diverting to her office at the end. Full change of clothes and towel in saddlebag. Clean up in men's room, unbeknownst to her, mere yards from her office. Surprise at 5pm, drive her car straight to lovely dinner. (Plus I got a 45 mile ride in).

Full bag, Oyster Bay NY

Sunset!

And today, 40 mile club ride to St. Rocco's bakery in Glen Cove, came home with a good stash of fantastic almond biscotti. Big saddlebags rule(sometimes).
