A quick look up says you climbed an average grade of 5.7% for 4.2 miles. That's pretty damn good--definitely a serious workout. If you're sore, take the day off. I think that's important both physically and psychologically. Making yourself ride through pain is a pretty good way to get yourself to hate riding.
