Lawee Inc. was the name of the company that owned the Univega brand name. It and Univega bicycles were created by Ben Lawee. Most of the Univega up until the very late 1980s were designed by Lawee (the company) but contract manufactured by Miyata.

#9 , the serial number is from late enough in 1985 that it should be a 1986 Univega Maxima Sport.
