I ended up finding my fiance the perfect bike a few weeks ago. It's a 1989 Trek 970 and it gets bonus points for being her desired colors.

The bike rides awesome around the block, but she hasn't ridden it yet. I really dig the pink in the headbadge which is the original, non faded color, along with "USA", which was covered up.
