Autumn Leaves Ride Sunday

Now that I've got my camera working well in manual mode, I was able to get out there and shoot some local Fall Colors yesterday. The bike I chose for this ride is one that I thought would complement the colorful local flora while not overshadowing it, if that makes any sense. So I hopped on my Pashley and went searching for deciduous trees.

But not a lot of variety. Yellow/orange seems to be the dominant color this year. I was hoping to find some reds as well, but they were all too far away to photograph well.

With all of the high winds we've been seeing of late, we have a lot of dead, brown leaves all over the ground, blown down before their time by the cold, cruel bluster of old Ma Nature.

Which is all just a good excuse to include one more photo of my bike in a pile of leaves:
