Great ride in today. 56F, light wind at the start - that's fully 20 degrees warmer than when I started in Monday, and just about the same as my Monday ride home. Very strange winter indeed...
Rode the entire distance from my house - 15.04 miles according to my handy-dandy computer - for the first time. It was pretty darn awesome, except for dodging an ambulance and fire truck passing me in a construction zone. I rode a new route for the back half this morning that takes me most of the way on a residential street - 4 lanes divided, with access into a number of subdivisions along the way, but no major intersections. I discovered that at least some drivers in North Texas are very cyclist-friendly. I haven't done enough cycling around here to know from experience, but I've been told that's rare. I think I like that route.
Another beautiful sunrise as I pulled through the security gate. I'm lovin' this!
