First off, congratulations on the baby to be!
I also own a Burley (their new low end model - Bee). Other high end brand is the Chariot. While trailers are great on paved paths or roads, my daughter (now 3) gets pretty tossed about when I have tried going off road. Unless that fire trail is as smooth as asphalt, I would proceed with great caution. Baby necks are pretty fragile!
She loves the trailer, and I think she will be content to stay in it for another year or so, but I am already on the prowl for something like an Adams Trail-a-bike to take us to the next level.
I believe you will get lots of replies if you post in F & R board. Also, scroll down and read, as there were some lively discussions about trailers and baby bike seats during the late Fall of last year. Strong fans and opinions of both methods of carrying little ones.
