Fed up with 6800 discs - R8000 or AXS better?

I have 6880/R785 on two road bikes one with the inline L-01 and one with the J-02 pads. I'm just getting tired of:

1. manually re-centering the calipers every 200 miles
2. changing pads every 1000-1300 miles (ok - I live in a hilly place but still...)
3. keeping the bike upright else using elastic bands on the levers
4. when fitting new pads having to bleed and deal with the now stretched out hoods that don't stay in place
5. random rubbing even when no braking has happened

Both bikes take a lot of maintenance and it's all brakes. Sometimes they randomly need a quick reservoir/master cylinder bleed as it may have been "tilted" for just a few moments too long and air got in the tops. Fun to discover when I head out onto the hill I live on. Now I try to remember to put an elastic band on the lever to close it off. This is essential if traveling with a bike in a bag or in the back of a car.

I have not used SRAM for a while but am curious if their disc brakes are not like this. Wondered if the R8000 improved any of this and whether I could change out my Ultegra Di2 for it (I heard it uses different pipes/lines so not sure if the fittings are the same).
