Ok, one more chemical to consider in removing grips: mineral spirits. It's used to install golf grips.

I like the ideas of bamboo skewers inserted in between grip and bar. Minimal stretch compared to screwdrivers and tire levers. Doesn't scratch bar.

Also good to install grips, but it sounds like AquaNet may add a little stickiness.
