That's how I remember it too. I'm not even sure if there's any difference between left and right. I don't think the parts were even mirrored left/right.
Thanks for this extra info, because it wasn't making sense to me how the info could be correct, what happens if someone mounts backwards? Would be a debacle.
Guess I need to tear these down and see if I can see what's going on. But I'll never use them ... so will probably just sell cheap instead.
