Repco Nishiki Cresta Gravel bike conversion

I liked the idea of riding off road a bit especially with the growth of hard packed gravel cycle ways has boomed in New Zealand. I picked up this Nishiki Cresta REPCO (Australian importer) and played build a gravel bike in the garage game. It was originally with 27 inch wheels so I played conversion nightmare. Fitted 38mm tyres and eventually found some brakes that would work. (After popping rear tyre wall with first failed attempt). Anyway this is what it turned out like. (thanks forum). Wonderful stable and fast gravel bike that is tremendous fun and still feels race bike like on tarmac. I play stalk and chase the ebike/29er dual suspension couches on the local Nelson trails. I have managed twice to have my foot slip of the flat pedals and rearrange my shin skin. Anyway love the Nishiki engraved into the seat stays, N engraved in the fork crowns the triple pulley RD, triple crankset and the original blue paint work

Home made Nishiki Cresta gravel bike
