We start placing Christmas holiday things around the park in August.

The event begins the week before Thanksgiving and concludes a few days after New Years Day. Then a couple months of taking everything down and storing it. Then maintenance, repairs, and construction of new features. It's a 12-month gig. State job. All the benefits. Including an easy one mile bike ride (or skate, or walk) to work from the house and the bonus of using my bike sometimes like the photos. "My" park vehicle is a giant Chevy duallie pickup truck. Like driving a skyscraper. I avoid it at all costs unless I need to tow a giant 4-wheel trailer with hundreds of pounds of stuff on it.
