Howdy folks. We just booked tickets for this South African vacation we'd planned a while back (2 weeks, staying at a safari lodge for one, staying in Capetown for another). Exciting stuff.
For this sort of trip, would you seasoned travelers recommend some sort of travel insurance coverage? We're flying Qatar, they don't offer any policies for American customers, and we do have some protection on the credit card we used to book the trip but it isn't comprehensive. We've gone abroad without any sort of travel policy before, but I guess wifey is more worried with the baby in case she gets sick (she's staying in the states, we'd be leaving her with in-laws).
